Started painting oil on canvas in 1999 after a study trip in classical Europe, self-study.

Then started in art school with Marianne Blankenberg from Kragerø at Oslo painters' club in 2010, and went there until 2013. Learned basic techniques with oil on canvas.

Then started at Ekely art school in Oslo, 2013 - and continued studying with Marianne Blankenberg, and also Fritjof Hoel ->

I am inspired by  romantic, impressionist paintings and still lifes. I also like to express kindness, warmth, love, unity and joy for those who experience seeing my paintings.

My exhibition "Captured by the Moment" is in production and deals with different moments in the 40's, which I am inspired and influenced by. Then primarily in terms of social life and body language and I like to use warm colours on the palett.

Selected as 1 of 2 artists described in an exam project »Landart» at Oslo Met. University in the spring of 2019. The painting "Atmosphere"  was used in the project.

Heidi Ødegaard's painting «Atmosphere» has an expressionist expression (Blom, 2018, The big Norwegian Encyclopedia) and refers to goodness, warmth, unity and joy. The painting technique is reminiscent of the simple expressive power of children's art. We have taken inspiration from her warm use of color when choosing wool as one of the main materials in the work. Among other things, we have used purple, orange, yellow and green - colors that are repeated in Ødegaard's pictures.

Invited to the 2019 Biennial in Venzia, The Body Language exhibition.
